Why Choose 40cm Wonky Oak Logs?

Great oak. Just a little longer.

Our 40cm Wonky Wood oak logs are an unusually long batch of kiln-dried British firewood, making them ideal for larger fires where standard-sized logs can feel a little small.

Some pieces may also feature a partial saw cut around the middle of the log, where a cut was started but did not go all the way through. The log remains in one piece and can be burned normally.

Rather than let perfectly usable British hardwood go to waste, we're offering this limited batch through our Wonky Wood range at a lower price.

Made for Bigger Fires

At approximately 40cm long, these logs are considerably longer than our standard firewood.

That makes them particularly well suited to larger wood-burning stoves, open fireplaces, inglenooks and outdoor fire pits where there’s room for a longer log.

Oak is naturally dense and slow-burning, producing steady heat and long-lasting glowing embers.

Please check that 40cm logs will comfortably fit your appliance before ordering.

What Makes Them Wonky?

These aren't quite your standard logs — and that's the point.

Their unusual 40cm length and occasional partial saw cuts mean they don't meet the sizing and appearance standards of our regular firewood range — but they're still perfectly good kiln-dried oak.

Made from 100% UK-grown oak hardwood, sourced closer to home and kiln-dried to under 15% moisture.

They're dry, Ready to Burn certified and ready for the fire.

Delivered with Care

Each box contains approximately 30kg of kiln-dried 40cm oak logs, packed loose inside one large recyclable cardboard box.

Unlike our standard firewood range, Wonky Wood isn't divided between smaller inner boxes. This keeps the packaging simple and helps us offer it at a more affordable price.
