Why Choose 15cm Wonky Oak Logs?

Great oak. Just a little shorter.

Our 15cm oak logs are available in limited quantities. Once this batch is gone, we can't guarantee they'll return.

Our 15cm Wonky Wood oak logs are shorter pieces created while preparing our standard firewood. Rather than let perfectly good British hardwood go to waste, we make them available as part of our more affordable Wonky Wood range.

Kiln-dried to under 15% moisture, they're the same quality oak hardwood you'd expect from The Logsmith — simply in a shorter, non-standard size and at a lower price.

Their compact approx. 15cm length makes them particularly useful as logs for small wood burners, compact stoves and narrowboat stoves, where standard 25cm firewood can be too large. They're equally at home in pizza ovens, fire pits and outdoor fires.

Oak is a dense hardwood that produces steady heat, a slower burn and long-lasting embers, making these short kiln-dried logs small in size but certainly not in performance.

100% UK-Grown Oak

Our Wonky Wood oak is 100% UK grown, giving you quality British hardwood sourced closer to home.

Using these shorter pieces also helps us make better use of the timber we source. They're called Wonky Wood because of their non-standard size — not because there's anything wrong with the wood.

Same quality. Different size. Better price.

Delivered with Care

Each box contains approximately 30kg of kiln-dried 15cm oak logs, packed loose inside one large recyclable cardboard box.

Unlike our standard firewood range, Wonky Wood isn't divided between three smaller inner boxes. This keeps the packaging simple and helps us offer more affordable kiln-dried firewood.

Every order is Ready to Burn Certified (Defra Woodsure, Cert No: WS7101/00001) for cleaner, safer fires in all areas, including smoke control zones.
